Mintinbox vous présente aujourd'hui la troisième exclu du Rancho Obi-Wan. Celle-ci va ravir les fans d'artworks ainsi que bon nombre de nos lecteurs.
Le Rancho Obi-Wan proposera en exclusivité lors de Celebration Europe II un artwork de l'artiste français (et ami de Mintinbox) Benjamin Carré. Benjamin est connu pour ses nombreux artworks ainsi que les couvertures réalisées pour les comics Star Wars de Dark Horse (plus d'illustrations sur www.blancfonce.com)
Cet artwork de Benjamin Carré est une illustration originale créée spécialement pour le Rancho Obi-Wan et offerte par Mintinbox à Steve lors de la réouverture du Rancho. Le dessin représente Ben Kenobi face à une tribu de Tusken Raider. "No Country for an Old Men" a d'ailleurs été utilisé cette année comme modèle pour le patch du Rancho Member Kit.
Limité à seulement 100 exemplaires, l'artwork mesure 33cm x 48cm et sera vendu sur le stand du Rancho Obi-Wan pour 55€.
Mais ce n'est pas tous, puisque Benjamin Carré sera lui aussi présent sur le stand du Rancho à Celebration Europe II pour dédicacer les artworks.
Comme pour le patch présenté par Rebelscum lundi, et le t-shirt présenté par Jedi News mardi, l'artwork sera disponible en précommande sur le site du Rancho Obi-Wan dès vendredi pour ceux qui se rendrons sur place.
And the third exclusive for Celebration Europe II by Rancho Obi-Wan is...
Rancho Obi-Wan will premiere its first limited-edition giclée by the talented French artist Benjamin Carré at Celebration Europe II. Much of Carré's self-titled Star Wars "fan art" has been popularized online, and he has done covers for Dark Horse Star Wars comics among other clients (see his art at www.blancfonce.com).
Carré's giclée is based on an original print commissioned for the November, 2011, Grand Reopening of Rancho Obi-Wan by the staff of Mint In Box, which knew how much collector Steve Sansweet admired Carré's work. The art depicts an older Obi-Wan Kenobi single-handedly taking on an entire tribe of Tusken Raiders somewhere in the dunes of Tatooine. Carré calls his work "No Country for Old Men." Part of the art is also the basis of the 2013 Rancho membership kit patch.
The 13 by 19-inch giclée is strictly limited to an edition of 100 and will be personally numbered and signed by the artist at the Rancho Obi-Wan Experience exhibit at CEII. Each giclée is printed on German-made, 80-pound fine-art, satin-white matte archival-quality paper, which is acid and lignin-free. Each print comes boarded and bagged in plastic and sells for 55 Euros ($70) including 19% value added tax. Advance orders, for pickup by the purchaser only at CEII in Essen, Germany, will begin Friday at www.RanchoObiWan.org.
On Monday, www.rebelscum.com revealed ROW's exclusive Celebration Europe II patch by Mark Daniels of Sublevel Studios, and on Tuesday www.jedinews.co.uk unveiled a new copper-foil logo T-shirt that will be introduced at CEII.
